Hi, Larry! Most of the survival details came from Don’s training as a Marine, plus he was in Nam for 13 months. Praise from another author who knows what it’s like to write a book is greatly appreciated ~ thanks! We are writing a sequel, so please sign up for our newsletter and we’ll keep you updated.
I enjoyed “Stranded” immensely. I could not put it down. As an author myself, I can only imagine how much research it must have taken to line up all the details you placed in your book. I wonder, how could Jake and Eve have survived having been confronted with such a plethora of life-threatening situations? You weaved the story together in an awesomely creative way. I wish you had other books as I would love to immerse myself in them for however long it took to read them. Since you don’t, I’ll be reading the book again. By the way: the map was very helpful. God’s richest blessings on you and Don!
Loved your book. Found myself holding my breath often at the tense moments for the charaters. The map was good too. Can’t wait for the sequel though I feel quilty knowing it will probably mean more peril for my friends Jake, Eve, Bett and Crystal.
Very happy you loved our book, Diane! Yes, I’m afraid you might have to hold your breath again in the sequel. Life tends to have those nasty bumps in the road, doesn’t it?
Really enjoyed the book. Don’t remember if this was in the book or not, but how big was the island, mileage-wise? Just would be interesting to know. Thanks! Looking forward to the sequel.
No, it wasn’t in the book, Donna, but Don guesstimates the island is about six miles in length. Walking the perimeter would take at least 3-4 days because the going was rough.
I loved the book, however, I sometimes had trouble picturing all of the island descriptions. I wish you would have put a picture of the island or this link at the beginning of the bookba
That’s a great idea, Pam. Unfortunately, our mapmaker took a long time to make it and we couldn’t include a picture of it. We would have liked to have made it the back cover of our paperback. A link inside the e-book is a great idea, though. Thanks for the suggestion!
I would like to be notified when the sequel to Stranded is available. Thanks
I see you subscribed to our newsletter, Denise, so please be assured you will get notified when the sequel is published. *big smile*
Nice! Thanks. Waiting patiently for the sequel. =)
Glad you like it, Steve!
Loved, loved this novel. Could not put it down. Can’t wait for the next one!!!
You make our hearts happy, Jean!
Waiting to see the map, the book was a great read..
We’re waiting on the map too, Nancy. Sorry it’s taking so long. Will announce its arrival in our newsletter (are you signed up?)
I just ate this book up, couldn’t read it fast enough. Thanks for this spellbinding story. The charracters are like friends now.
